Gender Differences in Sports Injuries: Kim Templeton Discusses AMA Resolution for a New Definition of Women’s Health

Dr. Kim Templeton, of the University of Kansas Hospital, discusses health problems unique to women in this article originally posted on Fox News. In it, she mentions knee problems unique to young women, as well as the differences in presentation between men and women of common problems, such as heart disease and depression. Dr. Templeton played a key role in creating the new AMA resolution to change the definition of women’s health to include more than just women’s reproductive health. This new resolution was passed in the hopes that current and  new doctors will be trained to consider the differences between men and women when treating their patients.
